Truly Financial is the brainchild of two small-business owners frustrated with traditional banking. They wanted to build a banking system specifically for small businesses, not simply take a big business model and attempt to adapt it to small businesses. Their team approached us as they were developing their global banking product, and we partnered with them to craft a site that introduced the new product, guided users to understand the significant difference in their approach, and provided them with room for growth as they quickly moved from start-up to global banking player.
Truly Financial
It's All About the Small Business
Our design played off a primary palette of blacks and grays interspersed with prudent use of spot colors and gradients utilizing light green, purple, blue, orange, and peach. The goal was to balance the seriousness of banking with a nod to Truly’s disruption of the system. The out-of-the-norm color selection compared to other banking institutions immediately causes a user to sit up and take notice while still understanding Truly has authority and industry know-how. We also focused on breaking down each service in meaningful sections to convey Truly’s global approach and competitive differentiators.
The site development setup allows for flexing content as the company and its product grow and change during their initial startup months. The site was prepared to handle the smaller amount of content at launch and then quickly ramp up with blogs, press, and case studies as available.
“Truly Financial is a unique banking service built specifically for smaller businesses. When we chose our web design partner, we wanted someone who understood our mission well and could relate to our customer persona. Grain & Mortar demonstrated how well they understood what we needed all through the project. We have been very impressed with their approach to putting the pieces together, keeping all the moving parts running smoothly and weighing in with valuable suggestions all through.” Sandeep Todi, Cofounder & Chief Business Officer
