Jason was working on his application platform with REVSYS, a Django / React development company (who we’ve worked with before) who encouraged him to invite us to the team to provide design support.
During design we worked on the platform itself as well as the marketing website, refining both the design style and written text. What began as an informative, serious, and perhaps intimidating cybersecurity site became more humanized, reminding users that there are actual people behind the screens. We brought in photography that was approachable yet realistic to the environments, opened up the dark spaces with grays and whites, and strategically added pops of color for visual interest. Those pops were often part of the fun elements of delight that reward users, encouraging them to complete their tasks along the pathway. What’s best is that there is a seamless design transition between the marketing site and the product dashboard leaving users feeling comfortable and familiar as they go from learning about the product to using it.
Instead of just handing design files off to our buddies at REVSYS, we custom-coded an HTML, CSS, and jQuery framework to hand off for full implementation in React. We enjoyed the development collaboration pairing our skillset with theirs to bring the final site and product to life.
