Best Bison is a fast-casual restaurant featuring bison, a healthy alternative to beef. The Best Bison team, owners of a bison ranch in western Nebraska, came to us looking for help branding packaging for a restaurant they were opening in Omaha. From burgers to brats, sandwiches to salads, the packaging needed to serve multiple functions: indicate the item inside, tie into the overarching brand, spread the message about bison having fewer calories, and provide whimsy. Inspired by burger joints from the 50s and 60s, we applied a modern, geometric, clean take for developing icons, scenes, and typography to meet their needs for boxes, wraps, cups, side containers, and menus.
