KANEKO is an arts and culture nonprofit whose mission is to encourage and explore creativity, especially the creative process — how a new idea is born into the arts, sciences, and philosophy. Our engagement with KANEKO focused on better explaining the concepts of the space and how to use it in an effort to bring more people into KANEKO.
Additionally, it was vital for them to have a systematic, easily searchable historical archive of their past programs and series, a feature they did not have and were finding themselves needing both for users and for fundraising. For this client, the design supported the bigger picture; therefore, we went with a very clean visual experience while adding small interactions to provide delight not distraction.
